Show presence: Affectionate, outgoing Ocicats are a joy to own and show. A cat that can be handled by strangers, who loves to travel makes the best foundation for a companion cat in your home.
Genetic vitality: Ocicats have one of the smaller genes pools and breeders are allowed to outcross to Abyssinian cat till 2015, this increases both genetic vitality (low inbreeding ) and hybrid vigor. Our cats are a combination of various ocicat catteries and well as various Abyssinian catteries to create blood lines that have very low coefficient of inbreeding.
Exquisite Type: The show cat is judged to a written standard of perfection. These are cats that we would be proud to show. Companion cats may have a slight flaw to the standard but would not detract from their overall balance and type.
Rainbow of colors and patterns: Ocicats come in 12 wonderful colors as well as 4 types of patterns. Spotted, Solid/Ghost Spotting, Classic, and Ticked. Our spotted ocicats are the cats that we show according to our standard but within our genetic background we can produced all the other wonderful patterns which all make wonderful companion cats for your home as well as our wonderful spotted cats.
Our Catteries: breed for chocolate spotted, cinnamon spotted and all the wonderful silver spotted ocicat kittens but at times have the full range of colors and patterns. We bred mainly to replace our show cats that are retired from the show ring each season, so though out the year we may have that special kitten or adult for sale. Please check out our adoption page at www.ahcspots.homestead.com/adoptionform.html
Reservations: Kittens and retired show cats are available most of the year. Reservation are accepted year around. We also accept reservation on show cats that we are showing this season that will be place in new home the following season or after they have received their title of Regional Winner, Grand Premier or Grand Champion.
We accept deposits on kittens at any time. We require a $100.00 deposit to hold any kitten or adult cat with the balance due on receiving the kitten/cat. Any and all shipping costs are paid for by the new owners.
Pet Kittens: Kittens can normally go to their new home between 12 and 16 weeks after they have received two sets of immunizations and have developed the skills necessary to be a loving pet in the new home. All kittens are either alter before they go to their new home or within 3 months of purchase of the kitten.
Breeding Rights: Breeding rights on a kitten may only be granted upon request depending on the quality and the genetic lines of the kitten or cat, this does involved extra cost and all the people who purchase a breeding cat must either have a cattery name registered with a cat association or have one within 6 months of purchase date.
